My dad always told-"there is just a hairline difference between a genius and a mad" and both of them actually never realized that they were one of these. The best part is that all others out their thought themselves either to be a genius or a mad. Now if they really realize that they are either of these then I bet they are actually nothing.

I am writing this because I was totally annoyed by somebody today who is very close in relation to me and it was really difficult for me to digest if not impossible. These thoughts are not something which I am planning and writing but straight out from bottom of my heart. I am just putting these out here only because I did not want any cracks in relation I share by directly responding back on face but I still want to put them out and relax.

Why people think they are smarter than what actually they are? Why is that they always tend to under estimate others? If some of us try to be soft in our act does that mean we dont understand the other person's intentions? Why is that they take us for granted all the time only because we dont aggressively answer?

People never try to look at there back. I know its highly impossible to actually view our back but that does not mean it cant be seen by others. When we see ourself ahead of others or when we try to stand infront of others why do we forget that everybody behind us can clearly see our back.

We often forget that none of us are perfect. It is very true according to me that if we think we are smarter than anybody else around us, then we are the most foolish among them. Because a very intelligent person can do foolish things sometimes seeing which even a real fool too will be surprised. But its not a big deal, we know-to ere is human. In the same way, even a fool of the foolest can act intelligently some times.

The conclusion is that- why develop superiority or inferiority complex in us? Why under estimate others when you actually don't know what they are? Why keep indulging ourselves in simply unwanted things by hurting others only because we want to boost our ego?  

Here are some questions which came to my mind after reading a news paper article.

What is life?
What is death?
Is life itself death?
Are we living or are we dieing?
Are we living to die or are we dieing to live?
Why do we live as if we will never die and why is that we die as if we never lived?

The biggest question is-
Does these questions really have an answer and if yes who has it? Is the answer within ourselves? Is it that we are unable to find the answers?

As man is getting more and more civilized and getting more and more educated and hence gaining more and more knowledge, he is being more and more deprived of natural humanly nature and thus gaining more and more animal like qualities. His greed seems to have no boundaries. He is killing another man only to nourish his greed and enable it to grow more and more and make it more and more strong like it was never before as if all human beings are competing with each other to decide on the level of greed they have built in themselves. Everybody is craving to have others pocessations without caring for the relation they share with the person.

Now the situation is such that it only resembles the fairy tales, the Arabic stories and other mythological stories were one man was sacrificed to improve their own life span. In twenty first century this is done by organ transplant. Organs are stolen from a body reducing that man to death and these organs are in turn sold for money to improve another man's life span.

So, does the above questions really have any meaning and answers in todays so called modern days? The answer is YES and NO!!! Well, YES-because they have their own new selfish answers and NO because they have lost the answers interms of their original spiritual values.

Zen And The Art Of Living???

I had never heard about the word Zen till my husband uttered that sometime back, but when he briefed about it I learned that Zen is something which was deeply followed and also furthur nurtured by Osho. Then I realized that my father had once discussed about him in my childhood but his name was just out of my mind. It was then I saw a book in my husband's book collections titled "Zen and the art of living". Now coming to the point, three days back I came across a book on interior design and as I was going through the book I found a page titled "Zen And The Art Of Living", as soon as I saw that it kept me wondering why about zen in interiors book? I continued to read a few lines and the only paragraph that was available on the page with lot of lavish designs of living room by very famous interior designers.

It explained why good interiors are essential in the place were we spend most of our quality time with family- the living room. It just left me confused. Philosophically speaking "inner beauty is more important than the outer beauty"! But to conclude the paragraph from that book it said "inner beauty is influenced by the outer world". This was what came to my mind when I read it- PHILOSOPHICALLY: "Art of living is to nurture soul" lets call that "SOUL" but a new version according to the BOOK: "Art of living is to influence Art of living of soul" and let me call this "BODY". So does BODY has something to do with SOUL? Does BODY really affects SOUL or SOUL affects BODY or is it that both has some influence on each other?

PHILOSOPHY tells that SOUL is important and has a great impact on BODY. If u have control over SOUL then BODY is automatically controlled by it. But I thought, is BODY really essential to have a control over SOUL initially? If not then why BUDDHA had to go in deep jungles to attain nirvana far away from BODY to nurture SOUL? Why in puranas, saints and rakshas most of the time went to Himalayas to do thapasya? Was it that they really cared for the BODY that is surroundings? Was that they could never find that peace in normal places were they earlier lived in? Then does this conclude that surroundings really matter? Is life not only about SOUL but also about BODY?

So now, should we really care for our interiors at home? Will it really give a sense of euphoria hence enhancing our mental peace? Well, I think it really does matter but only matter of concern is, it must only be used to nurture our soul and not to show it off to our so called neighbors.

Clock : As just you cannot compromise with your temper, I can never change my principles in life. Well, I must say your temper is really good at times when the question is about destroying unwanted stuff. We know every birth has death be it anything and you act as a destroyer. For example consider the process of cooking, man can just not think of cooking without you. He boils most of the things he consumes, you know why he does that, it is to kill the microbes that may be present in the food and who helps him in doing so? it is you my friend. Apart from facilitating destruction of microbes the process of cooking on fire gives the required taste to the food by softening the hard uncooked stuff which man loves to eat. Guess what? you both(fire and water) are so much interdependent on each other in this process that it is next to impossible for man to imagine cooking without you people. Water burns itself and escape in the form of vapors just to help man cook his bread. Fire continuously exhausts itself till everything is done. Man must really be thankful to you guys.

Vessel : My dear friend clock, I would like to interrupt you for a while.

Clock : Yes for sure. Unlike what was being told about me by fire, though I don't wait for anybody I never deny a chance to somebody who well deserves it provided they knock my door at the right time. And yes vessel, you have done exactly the same because I just finished with my words. Please proceed.

        
Vessel : Thank you. Look, you guys have totally neglected my importance. Tell me, what fire and water would do without me? How could water show its nature without me? Water has absolutely no existence without me. It surely needs some container. And you fire, stop praising water and for that matter stop praising yourself too. If water starts pouring itself on you all the time then you absolutely would have no place in kitchen. Since water is safely held by me you have a choice to burn her and fulfill your desire of throwing out your temper. And.....

Clock : (Whispers) Now this is what I call a fool in right time, a fool grabbing the right opportunity and a fool utilizing the right opportunity foolishly. Some guys are so much self centric that they just cannot withstand others achievements. Vessel had very little time to speak and lucky enough to get that time but in vein. No doubt, its true vessel is important, but jealousy is in the tone. You can only seek respect for your role if you can give the same respect to others. Its truly said- "criticize others only if you can accept the same from others" and "expect respect from others only if you can respect others". 

Salt : Please excuse me. I have a direct question to kitchen. So , you said every one has a role to play. kitchen , bedroom , dining... etc. True enough but still when there are so many characters.. which one of them takes a special place in your heart. Given your choice who would you love the most.

Cylinder : Yes , within the same space you have, I am very uncomfortable to be with these electrical equipments like freeze. You give importance to which one of us. I am not seeing my future bright with the coming modern days, where I find you are favoring more to sophisticated electrical items rather than me.

Who is this? U? ME? HUM?

The day I saw this picture, I had some kind of thoughts. I have been thinking about this picture from then on. The specialty of this picture is that the half of it is always true with all of us, all the time and in all the situations.The left half of the picture is in no colour mood with tears rolling down the eyes. In contrast, the right side of the face is in vibrant colours with a smiling face. So, a person can either be in a sad or in a happy mood and all the other moods according to me will for sure fall in one of the two categories.

Recently I came across a question in a book- Two men coming out of coal mines with one person's face being dirty and the other person's face clean. Now who do you think will wash the face? Obviously, the man with the dirty face, RIGHT? But you will be surprised, the answer actually was the other way. The man with clean face washes his face. The man with dirty face looks at the clean face of the other person and assumes his face to be in the same condition too. But the man with clean face looks at the dirty face of the other person and assuming his face to be in the same condition and washes his face.

The purpose of me discussing this question here is to say that- "The life is absolutely the way we look at it and not actually what we are. In the very miserable condition if we can rejoice over others happiness we can find happiness too. Life can be miserable in our happiest moments if we look at the ugly side of the life and suffer for it". Just observe- even the picture has to say that the dull face has little space to occupy compared to the brighter one. Its not exactly half.

The bottom line is- Try to be happy always, look at the brighter side of the picture even in your darker part of life. YOU, ME AUR HUM, everybody has to see life in both colours but always try to focus on true bright colours of it. 

Will there be something known as IIIrd World War in future or probably near future? If at all it happens then, what will be the reason for IIIrd World War? Well, sometime during my school days I remember one of teachers saying this- "Once in future there will IIIrd World War and the reason for that would be, WATER, YES DRINKING WATER!" Then I  was a little surprised and thought World War for WATER? How funny! But, now I ask myself, was that really funny? And I think more so after that Sunday evening that was yesterday March 16th 08. Me and my hubby had planned for outing and before that had some work to be finished. It was 7:00 PM. We happened to go to police station to submit some documents for renewal of passport. I was sitting in the car as my hubby went inside the station. It was quiet sometime now and he was stuck in the procedures. Me in car was listening to some good music.

After sometime I just peeped outside the window panes of car and had a look around the station only to find a group of people struggling for something. Me out of curiosity watched them keenly and now I was aware of the situation. I started making some assumptions and guesses. I thought, these people might get this opportunity once in a week or my be once in a fortnight, then thought, is it once in a month??? This is an opportunity to store water for there domestic requirements. These men,women and even some kids were juggling, struggling and pouncing upon each other to collect water. The tap was just in front of the compound wall of the police station, probably it belonged to the station to fulfill their water needs.

Soon two of them moved out of the group with pots filled with water, a little girl and am sure she was not more than 10 years old, dressed in sky blue skirt and a check shirt which must be her school uniform with two ponies tied with blue ribbon. There followed a little boy and he was not more than 8 years I guess. He was in a half pant and a simple shirt.

They placed the pots a few meters away from the crowd and the girl went back inside the crowd and disappeared for quiet sometime. I just changed the music and started  listening to FM. As soon as I turned I could see the the girl with another pot in the place were they had already kept two pots earlier. Then two of them moved from that place in exactly opposite directions and as I was observing both of them, I saw the girl jumping in a ditch which was probably some 80 meters away from the place I was sitting and it was quiet dark now, 7:20 PM and my husband had not yet returned. The boy came back towards the pots they had kept, with a cycle and soon the  girl rose up from the ditch in which she had jumped earlier, she then trying hard to lift the pot, placed it on the road and I was just able to see her face as if she is been taking some mud treatment and hence have buried herself inside the ground with her face spared. And suddenly she jumped out of the ditch, and I thought her treatment is finished! She lifted the pot and came to brother (I assumed it to be her brother) and now there were 4 pots filled with water, two kids below 10, a cycle, late evening almost dark and yes off course the not so good tar road to mention. They made a mechanism and hanged two pots near the carrier of the cycle at the back on either side of it(carrier) and the boy was trying hard to balance the cycle then the girl lifted the 3rd pot and placed on her hip bone holding it firmly in the place she then lifted 4th pot and placed it on the carrier trying to balance two pots with her two little hands and the boy was now struggling more to balance the cycle and I thought the condition of the boy and imagined somebody pouring more water on the already filled bucket only to spil it out.

Then adjusting themselfs with the distance between them, the boy started moving the cycle holding it and the girl holding a pot on her left hip bone with her left hand and another pot with her right hand which was placed on the carrier of the cycle started walking in a very restricted way trying to avoid those path holes and stones on the road as if they were demonstrating their gymnastics skills in a circus trying to balance, walking their way together on the rope holding some kind of fansy long bamboo sticks in either hands challenging each other about their capability and capacity and warning each other if they try to play pranks and be the cause of them loosing their balance causing a huge fall from heights of heaven only to start their life in a altogether new way. As I was observing them they slowly disappeared in the darkness keeping me wondering about their reach abouts to their destinations. Me saying to myself "Wow, what a concept to carry water, two kids, a cycle, four heavy pots and their way to their destination in the darkness on the road with holes and stones which must be looking like "hills and rocks on their way to heaven" for the kids. And I thought some one has truly said "Necessity is the mother of invention". But, what about man inventing the concept of WAR for the need of WATER???

Kitchen :  Well, now that everything is finalized let us begin with the debate and yes mind you no unnecessary arguments and I don't want any in-disciplinary acts from anybody. Hope you will co-operate and be sportive enough. Start.
   
Fire : I would like to talk about water. I know everybody is surprised to learn that I have chosen my rival as my subject. Yes, though I have some amount of hatredness for water I must really appreciate some of the good qualities of her, but wait a minute water, don't get exited, I even have some not so appealing facts to talk about you. Let me first begin with brighter side of yours'. I must say you are just a no match lady for others for one of the finest property you own and that is your ability to take any shape and colour according to the context. Though you have a peculiar nature of not owning a particular shape and colour you never mind giving up these properties whenever you are put into any container. You readily change your shape as per the shape of the container and perfectly fit into it thus giving no chance for any dispute that may otherwise arise for lack of adjusting nature. And I must also say that you are intelligent enough, wondering why? I say this because you change your colour even faster than a chameleon does or rather I must say you pretend to do that, whereas a chameleon really does change colour you don't, do you? When in container the person who looks at you only feels that you have an acquired colour that of the container and just starts appreciating that you are too good to  adjust. But the fact is that you just make the observer feel that and escape from any dispute that may arise. 
      
Clock : I have something to say about both of you.

Fire : Please! I have not yet finished mine. Let me, OK.

Clock : Fine.

Fire : So what was I telling, oh! yes the colour. You know the best part of this nature of yours is that you make others happy by adjusting yourself and acting the way they want you. According to me you are the symbol of calmness. You just cool down everything on which you reside. Needless to tell, everybody is aware of my temper and it hardly takes any reason for my temper to be raised and when I loose my temper you are one who lend an helping hand and tries to cool me down. When you do this for me you even do not bother of the pain you have take take and the price you need to pay for this. You simply spread out like a blanket on me burning yourself and undergoing irreversible pain and damage to your body. I am well aware that some of your parts may be some times permanently lost as they cannot withstand the heat  and escape from your body as vapours. Once I cool down I realize how bad tempered I am and what it took for you to calm me down. I promise you something today that I'll never ever give up my short tempered nature? Jokes apart. I cannot help it as it is my basic nature and I cannot really give up for once I do that I'll never be known as fire from then on.
      
Clock : I need to tell something!

Fire : God help me! Clock you have really no patience. You just can wait for somebody to finish. You have your own set of rules and just don't feel the necessity to help  somebody really in need of you. You are simply opposite to water. She has tremendous adjusting nature and you want everybody else to adjust to you.  You keep on  moving your hands from number to number keeping yourself busy all the while. Look at you and you'll always show the time. Its truly said "Time and tide waits for none". Ok fine, continue,I have to adjust to you and there is no way out for me.

Kitchen : Ok, ok fine. I  take some precious time of yours and tell you about myself. I was born in early days of human evolution though, I was in a very primitive stage and was totally different from what I am now. It all begun with man discovering fire. Along with human evolution I started evolving too and this will continue with the ever growing human intelligence. I was then just a space in a vast area because man used to wonder from place to place he never had a concept called house and I take it for granted that you know the importance of house in my life because my existence is only possible in a house. I used to shift my place along with humans until they came up with something called civilization and started to leave on the banks of river. It was at this stage of human evolution that I formally found some exclusive place for myself in a house and yes this was such a big  relief. As the civilization improved and the man realized the importance of my freedom I started taking different forms and look here I am in front of you as a modern and improved version of the earlier kitchen. So that is all about my birth, my childhood and adolescence life. Now I am in early quarter of my life and very proud of my achievements and hope will continue to achieve greater heights in my future life to come. Fine guys this should be enough of my introduction.

Any way if you are so much interested in knowing more about me I will only talk about things which you want me to tell. So go ahead and ask me about what you want me to talk.  
         
Vessel : Madam, can you tell me why are you so important in a house with such high designation? According to me you are the boss of your workplace, aren't you?

Kitchen : Yes I am the boss! Just kidding, so other rooms in house please don't panic. See its not true that I am the boss of my company house. What I fell is that even my colleagues, say sitting room, bed room and for that matter even the bathroom has their own important role to play. Because this is modern age no other room can be left behind and if you consider the olden age even I was never so important. So every room in house is an employee and also boss. We are all the partners of the house and are equally responsible for profits and loss. This is how we manage our company house.
         
Sink : Madam, tell me what is the role of us that is the commodities in your life?

Kitchen : Oh! You are very very important to me. Infact I am absolutely nothing without you. You work for me in the same way I work for house and it is highly impossible for me to serve the house without your dedication. You know for a very organized life of a man I am important and since I am nothing without you we both are interdependent. I have no existence without commodities and commodities will scatter without me. Ok I don't see any more hands raised. So we will start with what we  are here for.
